Sensitive river management

The Agency has produced a guidelines document, “Environmentally Sensitive River Maintenance”, which is based on many years of practical experience; it defines the requirements and practices to achieve good river management. Staff use these guidelines when carrying out works operations to ensure that a balance is achieved between maintaining the drainage function of the watercourse and protecting the natural environment.
