Habitat improvement and creation opportunities
Where the Agency is required to execute works, opportunities may occur where measures can be taken to improve existing habitats or create new ones. Some examples are:
- Tree planting
- Planting of marginal vegetation
- Regrading steep banks
- Creation of shallow bays and backwaters
- Creation of berms
- Creating vertical banks (for kingfisher)
- Creating woodland fringe
- Creating artificial otter holt
